This page contains three pictures of the exterior of our house as it was when we lived there. You are welcome to have a look, and, as it were, go down "memory lane" with us.
Two of the pictures were taken August 21, 2001, the third, in October 2000.
In this view, you are standing on St.Charles Street looking south and west towards the house.
Notice the large Elm, and the two car detached garage.
The overgrown hedge is one part lilac bush, three parts plain old hedge. Now, walk down Sansome street past the garage and turn around. The next picture shows you the rear view (the west face) of the house:
At this size, the picture is flattering: the attic window badly needs paint. However, the new roof not only looks nice, but really is nice!
You can also see the uninsulated sun porch on the second floor.
One of the best features of the house is the outdoor access to the basement. That red shingle shed to the lower left of the pantry (which extends from the large kitchen) is a door and stairs proceeding down to the basement. Large objects can be built in the basement then carried out! Neat eh? Guys like this.
By the way, the driveway is gravel.
The next view was taken August 21. It is the one scanned from an appraiser's photo taken October, 2000.
You have moved back out to St.Charles Street, and are now looking north and west towards the house. The kitchen can be seen jutting out from the south wall of the house, and the stairs are coming down from the back porch. From this perspective, the garage is hidden.
The yard which the elm tree dominates is at least as wide again as the part you see here.
